My daughter had surgery for unilateral coronal at 11 months. She is 11 years now! Our surgeon said he would do a follow up surgery to even the shape/appearance assemetry of her forehead and eyes if Anna wanted it. We of course think she's beautiful, but I do hear other kids ask her about why they are different. Being 11 she pays it no attention. I know there will be a day she's self conscious about it. Anybody out there been thru this? Encourage her now or leave it be until she asks if she ever does?

I am here asking the same question. I am not sure if I heard that same comment, but then again I am pulled in many dirrections with house, work and kids. I think I do remember that though. Both our docs are resently retired. DR crone and billmire out of cinci ohio. carter is starting to look a little to0 unsymmetrical and i worry the same things. We all notice it now. Carter had surgery at 10 mos and 7 years, but that last one was to close up a hole. He is 11 and will be 12 in nov.
